We are looking for a Geologist for our Wichita, KS office that wants to grow in a fast-paced, team-first environment that is passionate about getting into environmental consulting and making a positive impact on the environment. This individual could work on a variety of projects. The individual will conduct assignments in an office setting and in the field.
How you can make an impact
Record data during field work, which could include, but not limited to: soil characteristics, lithology, groundwater or surface water data, photographs, or summaries of visual observations through photograph and written field logs in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Collect samples from hazardous and non-hazardous sites, including: soil, air, surface water, groundwater, and landfill gas.
Oversee drilling activities involving, monitoring and well installation, borehole logging, well development, and sampling.
Conduct and document construction quality assurance observations to ensure compliance with construction documents.
Complete quality control reviews on all work product (reports, design plans, design calculations, data, etc.) prior to submission.
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and clients.
Prepare reports such as: Phase I, environmental site assessment, groundwater monitoring reports, hydrogeologic characterization reports and compliance reporting.
Prepare permit applications and/or regulatory agency submittals and responses with supporting documentation as requested.
Assist in training Environmental Field Technicians and Technical Associates.
Prepare short form site specific health and safety plans.
Participate in health and safety training.
Bachelors of Science degree in Geology required.
Minimum of 3 months of relevant environmental and/or engineering internship, work and/or research experience required.
Valid Drivers License with a driving record in good standing required.
