What we are looking for

SCS is looking for an Industrial Wastewater Construction Manager with experience constructing industrial wastewater and/or landfill leachate treatment systems. Responsibilities will include project management and oversight of small- to mid-size construction projects and development of opportunities (identifying leads and bidding projects). You will have the ability to manage multiple projects (including other environmental and remediation projects).

  • Manage projects, including developing proposals, contracting, leading project teams, forecasting, invoicing, and accounts receivable management.
  • Deliver professional services on time and high quality following local and state regulations, SCSs Quality Assurance Program, and within the planned level of project profitability.
  • Manage and execute environmental site assessments, groundwater monitoring programs, soil and groundwater remedial actions, environmental compliance auditing and permitting, and related environmental services with senior oversight.
  • Make decisions both independently and collaboratively on engineering or scientific problems and methods.
  • Provide technical and operational direction with responsibility for delivering positive outcomes.
  • Write technical reports and related work products.
  • Communicate with clients, third-party, and regulatory agents regarding project status, schedules, and compliance issues.
  • Follow client and corporate contract specifications in all activities including health, safety, security, and environment.
  • Mentor and develop staff.
  • Contribute to business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or related major required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant construction experience with wastewater treatment and/or similar environmental systems required.
  • Experience and contacts in the mid-west required.
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving required in good standing required.
