We are the looking for a Laborer for our San Diego location. The Laborer will work on the construction of landfill gas collection or other environmental pollution control systems.
How you can make an impact
Assist project personnel with hand excavation/digging (using shovels or picks).
Follow equipment operator during excavations and pipe installations to clear earth, plants, and debris that heavy equipment cannot clear or remove.
Help with the fusion of pipe by operating fusion equipment under the supervision of a fusion technician. Clear area of debris and earth to settle equipment in preparation for fusing procedure.
Operate dump trucks used to haul off waste from excavations and drilling of gas wells.
Help with the setup of drilling equipment, clearing area of debris and earth to settle equipment in preparation for drilling procedure. Carry and pour sacks of sand or other materials to settle installation of piping in drilled gas well hole.
Install metal stakes and other retaining materials to hold piping on hillsides/slopes.
Enter excavations to fuse pipe, install gas system piping, and install leachate or condensate piping.
Enter manholes, sumps, or other confined spaces to install new gas system or leachate/condensate system piping.
Repair leachate and condensate lines by cutting piping and removing or draining leachate or condensate liquids.
Operate power saws and drills to connect and cut piping and wellheads, and to cut slots into our gas system piping.
Remove, clean and install LFG gas system liquid pumps.
Replace or install sumps for gas system wellheads or leachate systems.
Qualifications
6+ months experience on the operation and maintenance of mechanical systems or pipeline construction required.
Experience working outside and experience traveling for a job preferred.
Valid driver’s license with a driving record in good standing.
Must meet physical requirements for driving (pick-up truck), lifting and carrying equipment/mechanical components (up to 50 lbs. Unassisted), hand excavation/digging (using shovels/picks), carrying and climbing ladders, operating and working from man lifts, operating electronic tools (drills, saws, etc.), using hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, hammers, etc.), and providing services under varying weather conditions.

Pay range for this position is $18/hour to $20/hour depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
