Marketing Coordinator

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a dynamic, energetic marketing professional to help expand our environmental engineering and consulting practice in the Mid-Atlantic market. This position supports both reactive marketing activities (like proposals, qualifications, presentations, etc.) and proactive marketing activities (like marketing materials, branding campaigns, outreach seminars, and strategic sales initiatives). This position will support our existing Marketing Manager with marketing research, email marketing campaigns, event planning, data aggregation, and analysis. The ideal candidate will be a marketing professional who can act as an in-house consultant to our technical staff (engineers and scientists) and guide them through the development and implementation of detailed marketing projects. This position can be fully on-site or hybrid.

How you can make an impact as a Marketing Coordinator

• Provide marketing and business development support to the Marketing Manager, including the preparation of qualification statements, proposals, presentations, and other marketing materials that target clients.
• Produce winning proposals and presentations by working with the Marketing Manager to develop and implement a pursuit and/or marketing strategy. Design and deliver all projects with the Client’s business goals in mind.
• Assist with the preparation and editing of statements of qualifications (SOQ) proposals, press releases, staff resumes, project descriptions, and manage the development of management and technical approach plans.
• Assist marketing activities by developing proposal/project outlines and compliance documents. Work with technical staff to develop benefit-driven proposal sections.
• Collaborate with management, technical personnel, and graphic designers to support marketing activities for key client plans.
• Organize special events, write press releases, write submissions to engineering award competitions, and conduct market research and competitor analysis to support sales efforts through public relations (PR).
• Maintain databases resumes, tables, client evaluations, marketing, and sales data, etc
• Participate actively in professional organizations, like SMPS and APMP, to optimize marketing strategies.
• Occasional travel to SCS offices and/or client sites may be warranted.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Journalism, English, Communications, or Marketing preferred
• Three years experience in marketing, preferably with an engineering, architecture, or construction firm.
• Experience writing for engineering, architectural, or construction firms preferred.
• Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.

The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000/year depending on experience with additional bonuses and our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
