Project Director - Solid Waste

SCS Engineers is looking for a Senior Solid Waste professional to join our established team serving the Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana market. You can be hybrid in the Cincinnati office or Tri-State area in general. You would serve as the Solid Waste Practice Leader for the Ohio area and responsible for growing our business in the solid waste market with a primary focus on solid waste management, including landfill gas, landfills and landfill infrastructure, composting, and other projects. How you can make an impact

You will wear several hats, including Project Director responsibility, growing the Solid Waste Practice, and serving as a Seller-Doer.

As our Solid Waste Services Practice Leader in this area you will contribute to our growth by:

• Developing new and existing clients
• Integrating with other SW staff across the company
• Managing and being responsible for Profit/Loss of projects
• Seek profitable ways to increase SW staff across the Tri-State area

As a Seller you will contribute to our growth by:

• Playing a lead role in new client acquisition
• Collaborating with us as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients’ success
• Drafting and reviewing proposals
• Enhancing the value of the services that we perform for existing clients

As a Doer you will work with a team of professionals, including SCS’ national experts in various fields, to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of environmental challenges to include:

• Solid waste planning
• Economic and feasibility studies
• Landfill design and permitting
• Environmental permitting and compliance
• Groundwater Monitoring and Reporting
• Hydrogeologic Investigations
• Landfill gas design and utilization
• Soil and Groundwater Remediation
• Various solid waste projects such as liquids management, odors, due diligence, construction, etc.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters of Science in an engineering field required
• 10+ years working at an environmental consulting firm doing solid waste work required
• Business Development experience in the Tri-State area market required
• Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing required

Pay range for this position is $82k to $140k depending on experience and location. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
