SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist to join our Pleasanton/Santa Rosa, CA office. You should be organized, embrace teamwork, and have the desire to grow professionally. This position can be hybrid and can work out of either office.
How you can make an impact
A mixture of office and field work expected, with an emphasis on office work
Conducting Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Investigations following ASTM Standards
Report writing and preparation of supporting documentation
Preparation of Vapor Intrusion Mitigation System Conceptual and Detailed designs under the supervision of a California Registered Professional Engineer.
Potential for long field days and work at job sites throughout Northern California may be required with this position
Proposal and budget preparation and management
Project management of small to mid-scale projects and provide support on larger projects
Communicate project status, schedules and compliance issues with clients, third parties, and regulatory agencies
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field required
Minimum of 4 years of related environmental experience required
Must be well versed in water quality, environmental regulations and environmental assessment/remediation.
Microsoft Office and computer programs (AutoCAD, Surfer, and/or ArcGIS preferred), field equipment experience preferred
40 Hour HAZWOPER training preferred
Progress towards professional certification (PE/PG) preferred
Knowledge on remediation systems and vapor intrusion mitigation systems preferred
Detail-oriented and a team player with great communication, technical writing, analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Valid driver’s license with driving record in good standing required

Pay range for this position is $70 to $85k depending on experience. This does not include bonuses or our Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
