SCS Engineers is looking for a Project Manager to Senior Project Manager for our Milwaukee area office to take on a client and project leadership role. The Milwaukee area office, located in Menomonee Falls, is a small office with a high ceiling. You will be contributing immediately to the success of the office. Your role will include project management, business development, and staff development. Projects will focus on environmental monitoring, regulatory reporting, and remedial systems for landfills, brownfields, and industrial facilities. As part of the Upper Midwest Business Unit, you will work with team members in our Madison WI, and Naperville, IL, offices, as well as colleagues and experts across the US. This position has potential for a hybrid setting.

You will contribute to our growth and lead the Milwaukee area office by meeting client needs, managing projects, managing and mentoring staff, and providing technical expertise.

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Respond to client inquiries and develop proposals for needed work
  • Coordinate staffing to complete quality work/projects
  • Develop and maintain business relationships with new and existing clients
  • Integrate with other Environmental Services and Solid Waste Services staff across the company
  • Manage profit/loss of your projects and manage utilization of your team members
  • Maintain or grow relationships with existing clients and seek opportunities to develop new clients
  • Collaborate with Upper Midwest colleagues and SCS national technical experts as we develop strategies for expanding ways in which we contribute to our clients’ success
  • Review RFPs, assist with go/no go decisions, and draft and/or review proposals

As a Technical Professional, you will work with a team to assist our clients in resolving a wide variety of solid waste and environmental challenges. Your work may include:

  • Data gathering/sampling and completion of periodic regulatory submittals for existing solid waste clients, including groundwater, landfill gas and leachate data
  • Operation and maintenance (O&M) and/or performance evaluations of remedial systems
  • Technical review of documents/submittals to assure consistency with client strategies and applicable regulations
  • Environmental Risk Assessment and Remediation – soil, groundwater, stormwater, wastewater, landfill gas, vapor intrusion
  • Environmental Permitting, Reporting and Compliance – RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA, CAA, SDWA, CWA, FIFRA, OPA, EPCRA, NEPA
  • Construction management for O&M projects at solid waste sites to address maintenance or stormwater management

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Engineering, Geology, or an environmental-related science required
  • Minimum of 15 years of related work experience required
  • Minimum of 10 years working at an environmental consulting firm required
  • Business Development experience in the Central U.S. market preferred
  • Professional registration (e.g., P.E. or P.G.) or certification (e.g., CHMM, CIH, REM, or similar) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and driving record in good standing required

Pay Range

USD $100,000.00 – USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
