The goal of this review by Patrick Sullivan and Ray Huff is to provide a summary of the current status of the landfill industry in terms of methane emissions measurement methods while at the same time identifying which methods offer the best opportunity for accurate emission measurements. Since the research in this field is ongoing, the paper is intended to show which methods have the most promise for future research, development, and improvements.
