Environmental Management Planning – Municipal Water District

Environmental Management Planning, Olivenhain Municipal Water District, CA

SCS Tracer’s professional association with the Olivenhain Municipal Water District began by assisting the District with the completion of a California Accidental Release Prevention Program (CalARP) Level 2 for an aqueous ammonia process associated with the treatment and purification of water. Shortly after, the Olivenhain Municipal Water District again requested SCS ’s assistance with environmental regulatory compliance, although in this instance the support included preparation of a Hazardous Materials Business Plan and a Spill Control and Countermeasure Plan.

SCS used our expertise to assist Olivenhain Municipal Water District in their preparation of a Security & Vulnerability Assessment for submission to the Environmental Protection Agency. Following its completion, the District sought to complete a Local Hazard Mitigation Plan for the application of federally funded disaster mitigation projects and viewed SCS as the ideal partner to facilitate the process.

SCS has assisted the District with the submission of additional and subsequent Hazardous Materials Business Plans and provided environmental regulatory consultation as needed.

SCS has maintained an ongoing relationship with Olivenhain by conducting various compliance tasks at each location, each year. These compliance projects include:

  • CalARP Program Three Year Compliance Audits
  • Hazard Review Five-Year Revalidations
  • San Diego County RMP Five-Year Resubmittals
