SCS Energy: Design-Build-Operate LFG to RNG Plant in Florida

Volusia RNG Plant

SCS is engaged as the engineer/constructor/operator for a 2,300 scfm LFG-to-RNG plant at the Tomoka Farms Landfill in Volusia County, Florida. SCS is preparing the conceptual design. The product gas capacity will be 1,540 MMBtu/day and will produce 1,000 Btu/ft³ product gas. The RNG plant will commence operation in 2019, employing the following technologies:

• Vacuum/booster blowers;
• Non-regenerative media H2S removal;
• LFG chilling;
• LFG compression with flooded-screw compressors;
• Membranes for CO2 removal;
• PSA for N2 removal;
• Propane injection;
• Zero supplemental fuel TOX; and
• Product gas compression to 750 psig.
