Ken Kampfen

Mr. Kampfen serves as a Regional Health & Safety Specialist, providing health & safety training and guidance for all SCS Field Services OM&M employees in the Northwest (Northern California, Northwest Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Alaska and Western Canada), Mountain (Northeast Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, Colorado, North Dakota and South Dakota), Desert Southwest (Southern Nevada and Arizona) and Great Lakes (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota) Regions, as well as various SCS Engineers and SCS Energy employees located within those same regions. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and has three decades of experience in the landfill gas OM&M industry, mostly with SCS, where he has served in various roles from Technician through Project Manager/Sub-Region Manager.
Previously, as a Senior Project Superintendent, Mr. Kampfen coordinated and performed installation of landfill gas (LFG) collection systems (including extraction wells, collection piping and flares systems), coordinated and performed monitoring of, maintenance on, and repairs to numerous LFG collection systems in Northern California, as well as sampling and monitoring of groundwater and other liquids at landfill locations for several years. He has more than 30 years of experience in groundwater/wastewater operations/remediation and construction. He has more than 20 years of hands-on experience in the installation, operation, and maintenance of LFG collection systems.
Mr. Kampfen is well trained in LFG collection system design and installation procedures, safe work practices, and standard groundwater sampling procedures, including sampling equipment calibration and operation, sampling quality control, and documentation and decontamination methods. This expertise significantly enhances his ability to provide effective health and safety services for SCS employees and clients.
