Eric Sanderson, PE, has over 30 years of Environmental Engineering experience. Before joining SCS Engineers in January 2022, he worked for the Alabama Department of Environmental Managements (ADEM) in the Land, Water, and Air Divisions. Eric provided testimony in administrative civil proceedings and in depositions that involved ADEM permitting and enforcement actions. He reviewed permit applications for new and existing sources of pollution, which included determining the applicable state and federal regulations, calculation of limits, evaluation of pollution control systems, and permit negotiation and development. He also performed compliance activities such as on-site compliance inspections of pollution sources, evaluation of pollution control devices, monitoring systems, data, and records to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
He is a proven leader and engineer experienced in the regulation of solid waste disposal, recycling, unauthorized dumps, and scarp tire management, including oversight, employee management, budgeting, planning, public hearings, providing technical guidance, and implementation of laws, regulations, and permitting/enforcement.
He is a Professional Engineer licensed in Alabama, a Certified Public Manager, and a Certified Manager of Landfill Operations.
