Mr. McConnell is SCS Energy’s National Manager of Operation/Maintenance Services in charge of SCS Energy’s operating fleet, includes three renewable natural gas (RNG) plants and two landfill gas fired power plants. Mr. McConnell has over three decades of experience with the installation, operation and maintenance of reciprocating engines, generators and switchgear. His experience includes the operation and maintenance of numerous landfill gas fired power plants and providing maintenance & technical support for additional sites.
He conducts or has conducted projects in Boise, Idaho (two Caterpillar 3520s); Salt Lake City, Utah (one Jenbacher 320); Medford, Oregon (two Caterpillar 3520s); Kalispell, Montana (one Caterpillar 3520); and Dallas, Texas (one Caterpillar 3520); Atlanta, GA (two Caterpillar 3520s); UNH, New Hampshire (two Caterpillar 3520s) Maryland (one Caterpillar 3520 & two Jenbacher 320s) CDA, Idaho (two Caterpillar 3520s) ; Dunn, North Carolina (Six Caterpillar 3520s); Spartanburg, NC (one Caterpillar 3520); Bradenton FL (one Caterpillar G3520). He has provided maintenance and technical support for several SCS-built turnkey sites.
Mr. McConnell served as Construction Manager for the 1.6 MW Flathead LFGE project in Kalispell, Montana, and was responsible for plant startup and testing, and Construction Manager in CDA Idaho on a new 3.2 MW facility
Prior to joining SCS in February 2007, Mr. McConnell was employed for 17 years by Western States Equipment, a Caterpillar distributor, and for seven years as a diesel engine mechanic for Smith Detroit Diesel.
